Payment Deadlines & Plans

To hold your Fall 2025 semester course(s) and avoid being dropped for nonpayment, you must have a verified payment source in place by the drop for non-payment dates.

Fall Drop for non-payment dates:

• Registered between April 7th  through August 10th, your verified payment source must be in place by August 11th.
• Registered between August 11th through August 17th , your verified payment source must be in place by August 18th.
• Registered between August 18th through August 24th, your verfied payment source must be in place by August 25th.

Students secure registration by the following verified payment source arrangements at the time of registration (see Registration & Financial Responsibility Agreement). If you are paying in full or do not enroll in a payment plan a down payment will be due by the payment due date. Part-time Students will need to pay $500, and Full-time students will need to pay $1,000 by drop for non-payment deadline.

Note: If your verified source cannot be applied to your account by the payment arrangement date, you may want to enroll in the Deferred Payment Plan while you wait for funds to come through.

* Subject to late fees if not paid by final payment due date.  The late fee is 1.5% of past due balance which will be charged monthly until the balance is paid.

Holds are placed on student accounts after the payment due date.

It is the student鈥檚 responsibility to drop the class if he or she is not attending. Students will not be reinstated in closed courses. See Student Registration and Financial Responsibility and Student Registration Agreement.

彩客网 offers a monthly payment plan to distribute your education expenses over time instead of one large payment through Touchnet payment services.

Refunds: The enrollment fee is nonrefundable. The down payment is refundable in accordance with the University refund policy. Selecting the installment payment option cannot extend the refund period.

1. Final Payment: Partial or complete payment will be accepted at any time; however, the total balance must be paid according to your payment plan. If you are not enrolled in payment plan, the total balance must be paid by the above final payment due dates. Make full payment before the deadline to avoid any additional charges.
2. Default on Payment Plan: Failure to make a complete payment on time according to your payment plan will cause a payment default and a delinquency fee will be assessed each month that the balance is outstanding. In addition, a hold will be placed on your academic record and you run the risk of not be permitted to register for subsequent terms until the balance is paid in full.
3. Your financial responsibilities: If you fail to meet the terms of your installment payment agreement, you will not be eligible for academic credit for enrolled courses. In addition, 彩客网 may report your account to the credit bureau, place your student account with an outside collection agency and assign the account to the State of Illinois Tax Off -Set System. It is further understood that all reasonable collection costs, fees or legal expenses incurred by 彩客网 and any outside agency in securing payment is your responsibility. These fees could range from 25% to 50% of your unpaid balance.
4. To enroll go to CougarConnect and select Student Account Center. Here you can enroll in a payment plan and make payment. 

Students who have outstanding debts at 彩客网, greater than $1,500 from the immediate prior term, will not be permitted to register until those debts have been paid.
